And in doing so, we strive constantly to carry out new projects. Just recently, our company was faced with an entirely new challenge which has brought us to an important milestone in the production of shelving, in the form of a high-density tyre rack. The system was constructed in Switzerland, near Lake Constance, where we created the perfect solution for tyre storage.
For a high-performance result in quality and practicality, we combined our Procompat sliding units, tried and tested by our experts, with the Procofix dual-function hybrid system and new-generation cross braces, purpose-designed for optimum tyre storage: The cross-beams of our tyre rack do not feature the traditional sharp edges, but follows the contour and the natural angle of the tire. A solution which guarantees perfect roll-on, roll-off, even after lengthy storage.
This project was a great challenge for Mobilrot, involving as it did the storage of over 2000 tyres in an extremely small area of 6 × 9 m, with a height of 6.5 m. The latter aspect is the great strength of our tyre rack as, not having the option of developing the system in length, we did it in height. This afforded our company the opportunity to take a new approach to design and production and exploit the area to the full, all the way up to the last centimetre. The subsequent loading and unloading of the tyres is carried out by high-reach forklift truck.
Mobilrot have, therefore, developed the perfect tyre rack system for tyre dealers in that it allows them to have all tyres to hand at all time, without having to store them in a number of stores or third-party warehouses. The technology used in our plants has a clear competitive advantage and is a true hallmark of innovation.
